Day 1 - Arrive in Costa Rica
A representative from ColorTexturePhotoTours will meet you at San Juan Santamaría International Airport (SJO) and transfer you to our first luxurious hotel. At the hotel, our tour leader will greet you and get you settled comfortably into your room. Once all tour participants have arrived at the hotel, we will have a delicious welcome dinner.
Day 2 - La Paz Waterfall Gardens
After a leisurely breakfast, we will travel by private transfer to photograph a series of fantastic waterfalls and a variety of butterflies, birds, frogs, monkeys, jungle cats, and other Costa Rica wildlife at La Paz Waterfall Gardens (Cataratas La Paz). We will have lunch at a restaurant on location and shoot throughout the afternoon. After shooting, we will travel back to the hotel for another savory dinner. Check out this blog post for more information about La Paz Waterfall Gardens.
Day 3 - Bajos del Toro
After breakfast we will travel by private transfer to Juan Castro Blanco National Park to photograph Bajos del Toro (Catarata del Toro or Catarata Bajos del Toro), one of the tallest waterfalls in Costa Rica that plunges 300+ feet into an ancient volcano crater. Upon arrival, we will have lunch at the on-site restaurant and shoot all afternoon. Besides the awe-inspiring rainforest waterfall, there are many walking trails and beautiful gardens packed full of incredible orchids, hummingbirds, and butterflies, as well as monkeys on the trail leading to the bottom of the falls. After shooting, we will travel to La Fortuna and check into our next hotel and have another great dinner. For more information about Bajos del Toro, read this blog post.
