Day 1 - Arrive in Costa Rica  

A representative from ColorTexturePhotoTours will meet you at San Juan Santamaría International Airport and transfer you to our first luxurious hotel.  At the hotel, our tour leader will greet you and get you settled comfortably into your room.  Once all tour participants have arrived at the hotel, we will have a delicious welcome dinner

Day 2 - Poas Volcano National Park  
After a leisurely breakfast, we will travel by private transfer to Poas Volcano National Park to photograph a series of fantastic waterfalls and a variety of butterflies, birds, frogs, monkeys, jungle cats, and other Costa Rica wildlife at La Paz Waterfall Gardens (Cataratas La Paz).  We will have lunch at a restaurant on location and shoot throughout the afternoon.   Check out this blog post for more information about this location. Day 3 - Juan Castro Blanco National Park  
After a casual breakfast, we will travel by private transfer to Juan Castro Blanco National Park to photograph Bajos del Toro (Catarata del Toro or Catarata Bajos del Toro), one of the tallest waterfalls in Costa Rica that plunges 300+ feet into an ancient volcano crater.  Upon arrival, we will have lunch at the on-site restaurant and shoot all afternoon.  Besides the awe-inspiring rainforest waterfall, there are many walking trails and beautiful gardens packed full of incredible orchids, hummingbirds, and butterflies, as well as monkeys on the trail leading to the bottom of the falls.  For more information about Bajos del Toro, read this blog post. Day 4 - Arenal / La Fortuna  
After an early breakfast, we will depart by private transfer to one of two pristine La Fortuna waterfalls, Catarata La Fortuna, one of the most famous waterfalls in Costa Rica.  After shooting away the morning and having lunch at the excellent on-site restaurant, we will travel to our second location and shoot Danta Waterfall, a wedge-shaped waterfall nestled in the jungle. Day 5 - Tenorio Volcano National Park  
After an early breakfast, we will travel by private transfer to Tenorio Volcano National Park and photograph the magnificent turquoise waters of the Rio Celeste Waterfall (Catarata Rio Celeste), which by many standards is Costa Rica's most iconic waterfall.  We will spend the morning shooting, then have a typical Costa Rican lunch on location, and travel back to our hotel in Arenal.  For more information about Rio Celeste, read this blog post.  Once at the hotel, you will have the remainder of the day to enjoy a well-earned, revitalizing massage or spa treatment courtesy of ColorTexturePhotoTours, or edit images before our farewell dinner party.

Day 6 - Depart Costa Rica 
After an early breakfast, we will travel by private transfer to San Juan Santamaría International Airport where you will catch your flight home or continue exploring Costa Rica on your own.

Single Supplement - Add $850.00 
The single supplement applies only to tour participants that prefer their own hotel rooms rather than sharing rooms with another guest. 

What's Included In Photo Tour Price?

Photo tour price includes all hotels in Costa Rica (5 nights), all meals in Costa Rica (14 total), transportation to and from San Juan Santamaría International Airport (SJO), private transportation within Costa Rica, all park entrance fees, and all nature guide fees.  Photo tour cost does NOT include: airfare to and from Costa Rica, airport departure tax (currently $29.00 and may be included in the price of your plane ticket), travel insurance, tips to bellhops, cleaning staff, drivers, and tour guides, and personal expenses like alcoholic beverages, free day activities, laundry service, phone calls, and souvenirs.

We accept checks, American Express, Discover, MasterCard, PayPal, and Visa.  

Cancellations & Refunds  
Deposits are non-refundable.  For refunds, we require that a cancellation request in writing be received 46 days before your photo tour begins. If we receive your written cancellation request 46 days before your photo tour begins, and we can refill your space, we will refund all payments, minus your deposit and any discounts given to refill your space.  If we cannot refill your space, we will refund 50% of all payments, minus your deposit.  No refunds are given, nor cancellations allowed, 45 days or less before your photo tour begins.  No partial refunds are given for unused services. There is a $50.00 charge for all returned checks.

Physical Requirements
Participation requires that travelers be able to walk unassisted for two miles over uneven, potentially muddy and slippery trails, and up-and-down inclines with moderate altitude gain.  There are hikes over a variety of terrain including pavement, gravel, and dirt trails with large roots, rocks, and stairs.  Travelers should be aware that heat and humidity will be high in some locations and daily excursions can be more difficult during inclement weather.
