Scott brings thirty-five years of experience in both landscape and commercial photography, including a two-decades-long career in Los Angeles producing high-end still photography campaigns, music videos, and television commercials. Now, he shares his creative expertise with fellow photographers, combining artistic vision, technical know-how, and a calm, encouraging teaching style that's easy to understand, and resonates with photographers of all skill levels.
Scott's images have been featured in Outdoor Photographer, Huffington Post, Landscape Photography Magazine, Nature Photographer, and many other publications. His fine art landscape photographs have been showcased in dozens of galleries and juried art festivals across the United States, Central America, and Asia, and are held in private collections worldwide.
Years ago, while seeking relief from his stressful and demanding work schedule, Scott escaped to nature for peace and clarity. It was during those quiet moments outdoors that the idea of leading photography workshops took root. He discovered that landscape photography has the power not only to inspire, but to connect people with nature and each other. That deep connection to nature fuels every workshop he leads, while teaching creative techniques that elevate photographers' portfolios, and sharing awe-inspiring locations.
As an Adorama Affiliate, member of NANPA (North American Nature Photography Association), and authorized dealer of NiSi Filters and Explorer Tripods, Scott is deeply involved in the nature and landscape photography community, and committed to sharing the best photo gear, techniques, and tools with others.
Scott currently moves between two worlds that have massively shaped his vision - Costa Rica, which has been his tropical home for the last ten years, and the Pacific Northwest - where he was born, raised, and now leads immersive photo workshops and private day tours.
