Speaking of work, Scott has 30 years of experience in commercial and landscape photography. You’ll be in good hands learning from Scott, whose fine art images have been displayed in dozens of galleries, art fairs, and juried fine art festivals throughout the United States, Central America, and Asia.
A member of the North American Nature Photography Association (NANPA), Scott has been honored to have his images published in Outdoor Photographer, Nature Photographer, Huffington Post, Dwell Magazine, and many others. It’s his keen eye for creating fine art nature photography that makes him an excellent teacher and tour leader.
Your ColorTexturePhotoTours adventure isn’t just about seeing gorgeous landscapes and learning technical photography techniques. Instead, it’s a journey of self-discovery in which you will learn how to tap into your passion for photography, which is easy to do when touring with Scott.
Scott's fascination with waterfalls as a child is what first piqued his interest in photographing nature’s beauty. The experiences and fond memories of exploring the world from the back seat of his family’s station wagon helped him realize - perhaps unconsciously - that landscape photography has a unique power to energize people and bring them together.
Over the years, while seeking a more balanced life with relief from a demanding photography and videography work schedule, Scott realized the true power and serenity of nature photography, chasing waterfalls, and photographic holidays with like-minded individuals capturing the beauty of nature with a camera.
Since 2012, Scott has spent much of his free time basking in Costa Rica’s natural beauty, and when not in Costa Rica, Scott lives in the Pacific Northwest - a vastly different yet equally beautiful place - and leads photography workshops there as well.
Scott’s love of nature, photography, and people can be felt in his photographs. They’re rich with color and texture, and they celebrate the natural wonders of the world around us. This combination of technical knowledge, adoration for landscapes, and easy-to-understand teaching methods make ColorTexturePhotoTours an ideal choice for photographers of all skill levels.
