OREGON FALL COLORS DEADLINE: OCT. 1, 2025

Washington Photography Workshops

From snow-capped volcanic peaks to lush temperate rainforests and dramatic coastlines, Washington is a state of striking contrasts and endless photographic inspiration.  The mighty Cascade Mountain Range splits the state in two, offering alpine lakes, jagged ridgelines, and waterfalls that plunge through moss-draped forests.  To the west, the Olympic Peninsula holds some of the most diverse ecosystems in North America, where driftwood-strewn beaches meet old-growth rainforests and tide pools teem with life.  Each landscape tells a different story, providing countless opportunities to capture both the grand and the intimate details of the Pacific Northwest.

East of the Cascades, Washington reveals an entirely different character.  Rolling hills ripple across the Palouse, where patterns of wheat fields change with the seasons and golden light sweeps across vast horizons.  Towering basalt cliffs frame the Columbia River, while high desert plateaus and hidden canyons offer stark, dramatic beauty.  Seasonal wildflowers, colorful autumn foliage, and ever-changing skies add to the magic, making Washington an extraordinary destination for photographers seeking variety, challenge, and reward in every photograph.

Check out my 2026 Washington photography workshops below.  Each one is designed to help you expand your portfolio while experiencing the diverse beauty of the sensational Pacific Northwest.

PALOUSE EASTERN WASHINGTON PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP
June 14-19, 2026

This photography workshop explores Eastern Washington’s most dramatic terrain - shaped entirely by the massive Missoula Ice Age floods. We explore the world-famous Palouse and its rolling hills of vibrant farmland, then venture far beyond what all other Palouse photography workshops offer. Capture spectacular limestone bluffs above the mighty Columbia River, jagged gorges, towering basalt cliffs, hidden lakes, and stunning waterfalls - all created thousands of years ago.
