Day 1 - Arrive in Costa Rica
A representative from ColorTexturePhotoTours will meet you at San Juan Santamaría International Airport and transfer you to our luxurious hotel in Escazu. At the hotel, our tour leader will greet you and get you settled comfortably into your room. Once all tour participants have arrived at the hotel, we will have a delicious welcome dinner.
Day 2 - Poas Volcano National Park
After a leisurely breakfast, we will travel by private transfer to Poas Volcano National Park to photograph a series of fantastic waterfalls and a variety of butterflies, birds, frogs, monkeys, jungle cats, and other Costa Rica wildlife at La Paz Waterfall Gardens (Cataratas La Paz). We will have lunch at a restaurant on location and shoot throughout the afternoon. After shooting, we will travel back to the hotel in Escazu for another savory dinner.
Day 3 - Juan Castro Blanco National Park
After a casual breakfast, we will travel by private transfer to Juan Castro Blanco National Park to photograph Bajos del Toro (Catarata del Toro or Catarata Bajos del Toro), one of the tallest waterfalls in Costa Rica that plunges 300+ feet into an ancient volcano crater. Upon arrival, we will have lunch at the on-site restaurant then shoot all afternoon. Besides the awe-inspiring rainforest waterfall, there are many walking trails and beautiful gardens packed full of incredible orchids, hummingbirds, and butterflies, as well as monkeys on the trail leading to the bottom of the falls. After shooting, we will travel to Arenal and check into our next amazing hotel and have another great dinner.
Day 4 - Arenal / La Fortuna
After an early breakfast, we will depart by private transfer to one of two pristine La Fortuna waterfalls, Catarata La Fortuna, one of the most famous waterfalls in Costa Rica. After shooting away the morning and having lunch at the excellent on-site restaurant, we will travel to our second location and shoot Danta Waterfall, a wedge-shaped waterfall nestled in the jungle. Afterwards, we will return to our hotel and have time to edit images before enjoying another delicious dinner.
Day 5 - Arenal / La Fortuna
After breakfast, enjoy a free day exploring Arenal La Fortuna. Visit Arenal Volcano or Lake Arenal, take a hanging bridges or eco tour, go zip lining or rafting, enjoy the hot springs, or relax at the hotel and enjoy a well-earned, revitalizing massage or spa treatment courtesy of ColorTexturePhotoTours. After your free day we will travel to Tenorio Volcano National Park and our next outstanding hotel where we will have another incredible dinner.
Day 6 - Tenorio Volcano National Park
After an early breakfast, we will photograph the magnificent turquoise waters of the Rio Celeste Waterfall (Catarata Rio Celeste), which by many standards is Costa Rica's most iconic waterfall. We will spend the morning shooting, then have a typical Costa Rican lunch on location, and travel back to our luxurious hotel. Once at the hotel, you will have the remainder of the day to edit images before a scrumptious dinner.
Day 7 - Rincon de la Vieja National Park
After breakfast, we will travel by private transfer to Rincon de la Vieja National Park, have lunch, then photograph Las Chorreras, a unique waterfall with two cascades flowing into a gorgeous turquoise pool below. Afterwards, we will photograph Oropendola Waterfall, which drops 80' into the lush canyon of the Rio Blanco. After shooting away the afternoon, we will check into our rustic Costa Rican hacienda before another fantastic dinner.
Day 8 - Liberia
After an early breakfast, we will travel by private transfer and photograph Llanos de Cortez (Catarata Llanos de Cortez), one of the premier waterfalls in Costa Rica. After shooting, we will stop for lunch, then travel to our hotel in Escazu and have our farewell dinner party.
Day 9 - Depart Costa Rica
After breakfast, transfer to San Juan Santamaría International Airport, catch your flight home, and reflect on all your new memories of Costa Rica.

What's Included in Photo Tour Price?
Photo tour price includes all hotels in Costa Rica (8 nights), all meals in Costa Rica (23 total), transportation to and from San Juan Santamaría International Airport (SJO), private transportation within Costa Rica, all park entrance fees, and all nature guide fees. Photo tour cost does NOT include: airfare to and from Costa Rica, airport departure tax (currently $29.00 and may be included in the price of your plane ticket), travel insurance, tips to bellhops, cleaning staff, drivers, and tour guides, and personal expenses like alcoholic beverages, free day activities, laundry service, phone calls, and souvenirs.

Cancellations & Refunds
Deposits are non-refundable. For refunds, we require that a cancellation request in writing be received by December 15, 2018. If we receive your written cancellation request before December 15, 2018, and can refill your space, we will refund all payments, minus your deposit and any discounts given to refill your space. If we cannot refill your space, we will refund 50% of all payments, minus your deposit. No refunds are given, nor cancellations allowed, after December 15, 2018. No partial refunds are given for unused services. There is a $50.00 fee charged for all returned checks.
Participation requires that travelers be able to walk unassisted for two miles over uneven, potentially muddy and slippery trails, and up-and-down inclines with moderate altitude gain. There are hikes over a variety of terrain including pavement, gravel, and dirt trails with large roots, rocks, and stairs. Travelers should be aware that heat and humidity will be high in some locations and daily excursions can be more difficult during inclement weather.
