Scott Setterberg has been photographing Costa Rica since 2012, and has guided hundreds of photographers through its cloud forests, rainforests, beaches, rivers, and waterfalls. Over the years, he has developed an intimate understanding of Costa Rica’s light, weather, seasons, and hidden photographic gems that most travelers never experience.
Scott's passion is helping people slow down, reconnect with nature, and capture extraordinary images with confidence and intention. He shares his 35 years of nature photography experience in a calm, patient teaching style with photographers of all experience levels, and helps each person grow creatively and technically in a supportive, no-pressure environment.
"This was my second photo tour with Scott and it was even better than the first. Since Scott lives in Costa Rica and has many local contacts, he is very familiar with the areas and can get you to both well-known as well as off-the-beaten-track locations and he packs a lot of shooting into each day." ~ Jonathan S. | Massachusetts
"Scott knew the locations, the angles, and how to push our photography forward. The planning, the instruction, and the overall experience far exceeded our expectations. We would absolutely join him again." ~ Nahush & Sunita M. | Ohio
"I've been back a week from my Costa Rica adventure and it was fantastic fun! It was every bit as fabulous as I’d hoped, and Scott’s easy going manner was so nice. His assistance and sense of humor made everything from food to lush accommodations awesome! Thanks for the marvelous experience." ~ Kathleen C. | Washington
