Washington State is home to countless beautiful waterfalls, but only a select few leave photographers completely speechless. On this unforgettable photography adventure, we photograph three of the most spectacular waterfalls in Washington - each surrounded by dramatic landscapes, lush old-growth forests, rushing rivers, and breathtaking Pacific Northwest scenery. Beyond the waterfalls themselves, this workshop also features towering snowcapped mountains reflected in crystal-clear alpine lakes, moss-covered forests, vibrant streams, and some of the most stunning and awe-inspiring landscapes in the Pacific Northwest. Every location on this journey was carefully chosen to showcase the wild beauty, atmosphere, and power that make Washington State such an incredible destination for landscape photography.
Throughout the workshop, you will receive personalized photography and post processing instruction while exploring these unforgettable locations in a relaxed and supportive environment. You will also enjoy an award-winning hotel, exceptional cuisine each day, and comfortable private transportation designed to create a seamless and memorable photography experience.

My partner and I went on Scott’s Washington Waterfalls Photography Workshop and it was so enjoyable. Scott not only took us to places we likely would not have found on our own, but he took us there at the best time of day and often showed us additional viewpoints that we would never have known about without a knowledgeable guide. It was great having a small group, having meals and lodging included, and not having to rent a vehicle. Scott has an easy-going personality and provides excellent guidance and photo tips. I’d recommend Scott’s workshops to anyone wanting to see some beautiful places and get some outstanding landscape images.” ~ Carol G. | Nevada
"My closest friend Mike from Wisconsin and I did four days on the Washington Waterfalls photo workshop with professional photographer Scott Setterberg. If you are looking for someone to take a photo tour with, Scott’s your guy. He was filled with photography knowledge that has helped me step up my game with new techniques for shooting, composition and processing my photos. We had a great four days with Scott and will do it again!" ~ Fred R. | Arizona
Day 1 - Arrive in Portland / Lower Lewis Falls / Cascade Locks
After arriving at Portland International Airport (PDX), we will travel by private transfer into the lush forests of the Pacific Northwest and photograph the breathtaking Lower Lewis Falls. Surrounded by moss-covered cliffs, rushing water, and dense evergreen forest, this spectacular waterfall stretches nearly 200 feet wide and creates one of the most awe-inspiring scenes in the region. We will spend the afternoon photographing the falls and surrounding scenery before continuing to our award-winning hotel overlooking the Columbia River. After settling in, we will enjoy a wonderful dinner together and prepare for the incredible landscapes still to come.
Day 2 - Falls Creek Falls / Lost Lake / Cascade Locks
We begin early and travel by private transfer to magnificent Falls Creek Falls, one of the tallest and most spectacular waterfalls in Washington State. Hidden deep within lush old-growth forest, this towering multi-tiered cascade plunges more than 300 feet through rugged cliffs surrounded by vibrant greenery, moss-covered rocks, and rushing streams. After spending the morning photographing the falls and surrounding forest scenery, we will enjoy lunch before returning to the hotel for editing sessions, image reviews, and post processing instruction. Following another exceptional dinner, we will travel to breathtaking Lost Lake where majestic Mount Hood reflects beautifully in the calm waters beneath colorful evening skies. With alpine scenery, peaceful reflections, and dramatic mountain views, Lost Lake offers one of the most iconic sunset photography locations in the Pacific Northwest.
Day 3 - Panther Creek Falls / Trout Lake / Cascade Locks
We begin early once again and travel to the unforgettable fantasy-like landscape of Panther Creek Falls. Surrounded by lush rainforest vegetation and cascading water flowing through layered basalt cliffs, Panther Creek Falls feels almost otherworldly and is widely considered one of the most spectacular waterfall locations in the Pacific Northwest. We will spend the morning thoroughly exploring and photographing the waterfalls, streams, moss-covered rocks, and enchanting forest scenery before enjoying lunch and returning to the hotel for editing instruction and image reviews. After dinner, we will travel to beautiful Trout Lake where towering Mount Adams rises above the peaceful lake beneath colorful sunset skies. As evening light reflects across the still water and illuminates the mountain, we will photograph one final unforgettable Pacific Northwest sunset before returning to our hotel.
Day 4 - Depart Portland International Airport
After breakfast, final editing sessions, and image reviews, we will travel by private transfer back to Portland International Airport (PDX), where you will catch your flight home after an unforgettable journey through some of the most spectacular waterfalls, forests, mountains, lakes, and landscapes in the Pacific Northwest.
