Day 1 - Arrive in Costa Rica
A representative from ColorTexturePhotoTours will meet you at Daniel Oduber Quirós International Airport (LIR) in Liberia and transfer you to our first luxurious hotel in Playa Hermosa. At the hotel, our tour leader will greet you and get you settled comfortably into your room. Once all tour participants have arrived at the hotel, we will have a delicious welcome dinner.
Day 2 - Llanos de Cortez / Playa Hermosa
After an early breakfast, we will travel by private transfer and photograph Llanos de Cortez (Catarata Llanos de Cortez), one of the premier waterfalls in Costa Rica. After shooting all morning, we will return to Playa Hermosa for lunch, edit images, relax at the beach, capture an incredible sunset, and have another wonderful dinner.
Day 3 - Rincon de la Vieja Volcano National Park
After breakfast and editing images, we will travel by private transfer to Rincon de la Vieja National Park, have lunch, then photograph Las Chorreras, a unique waterfall with two cascades flowing into a gorgeous pool below. Afterwards, we will photograph Oropendola Waterfall, which drops 80' into the lush canyon of the Rio Blanco. We end the day at Rio Negro Hot Springs, where you can take a volcanic ash mud bath and wash off in the river before relaxing in several natural hot springs with different temperatures. After the hot springs we will get cleaned up and enjoy another fantastic dinner.
Day 4 - Rio Celeste
After an early breakfast, we will travel by private transfer to Tenorio Volcano National Park and photograph the magnificent turquoise waters of the Rio Celeste Waterfall (Catarata Rio Celeste), which is Costa Rica's most iconic waterfall. We will spend the morning shooting, then have a an excellent lunch, and travel to our next fantastic hotel in Arenal. For more information about Rio Celeste, read this blog post. Once at the hotel, you will have the remainder of the day to enjoy a well-earned, revitalizing massage or spa treatment courtesy of ColorTexturePhotoTours, or edit images before enjoying another great dinner.

$4,675.00 Per Person. Based on Double Occupancy.
Additional $975.00. The single supplement applies only to tour participants that are traveling alone and prefer their own hotel rooms rather than sharing rooms with another guest.
What's Included In Photo Tour Price?
Photo tour price includes all hotels in Costa Rica (5 nights), all meals in Costa Rica (14 total), all transportation within Costa Rica including to and from Daniel Oduber Quirós International Airport (LIR) in Liberia, all park entrance fees, and all nature guide fees. Photo tour cost does NOT include: airfare to and from Costa Rica, airport departure tax (currently $29.00 and may be included in the price of your plane ticket), travel insurance, tips to bellhops, cleaning staff, drivers, and tour guides, and personal expenses like alcoholic beverages, free day activities, laundry service, phone calls, and souvenirs.

Cancellations & Refunds
Deposits are non-refundable. For refunds, we require that a cancellation request in writing be received before the Registration & Final Payment Deadline date at 11:59pm Eastern Time. If we receive your written cancellation request before the Registration & Final Payment Deadline date at 11:59pm Eastern Time, and we can refill your space, we will refund all payments, minus your deposit and any discounts given to refill your space. If we cannot refill your space, we will refund 50% of all payments, minus your deposit. No refunds are given, nor cancellations allowed after the Registration & Final Payment Deadline date. No partial refunds are given for unused services. There is a $50.00 charge for all returned checks.
Participation requires that travelers be able to walk unassisted for three miles over uneven, potentially muddy and slippery trails, and up-and-down inclines with moderate altitude gain. There are hikes over a variety of terrain including pavement, gravel, and dirt trails with large roots, rocks, and many stairs. Travelers should be aware that heat and humidity will be high in some locations and daily excursions can be more difficult during inclement weather.
