Private Costa Rica Photography Workshop

This private, all-inclusive Costa Rica photography workshop explores the spectacular region of Turrialba, misty cloud forests of Braulio Carillo National Park, sensational waterfalls, dense jungle rivers, glassy lakes, and lush rainforests in the provinces of Cartago and Limón. You will receive personalized, professional photography and post processing instruction, learn about Costa Rica from a professional nature guide, relax in 4- and 5-star hotels, savor gourmet cuisine, and travel in comfortable, private transportation.
WORKSHOP DATES, PRICES & REGISTRATION

Photo Tour Price: $5,675.00 (Online Payment) / $5,525.00 (Cashier's Check)
Photo tour price is based on double occupancy and includes professional photography and post processing instruction, professional nature guide, location expertise, all lodging and meals in Costa Rica during the tour, all ground transportation in Costa Rica during the tour including to and from Juan Santamaría International Airport (SJO), snacks and water, and all park entrance fees. Photo tour price does NOT include airfare to and from Juan Santamaría International Airport (SJO), airport departure tax (currently $29.00 and may be included in the price of your airfare), travel insurance, gratuities to instructor and guide, alcoholic beverages, and laundry service.
Single Supplement: $1,475.00 (Online Payment) / $1,425.00 (Cashier's Check)
Single supplement applies to tour participants that are traveling alone and prefer their own hotel rooms rather than sharing rooms with another guest or when sharing rooms is not available.
Deposit / Payments
$1,000.00 non-refundable deposit is due with registration. Remaining balance is due on the Registration & Final Payment deadline listed above.
Availability
2 Person Minimum / 6 Person Maximum. After the registration deadline, if only one person has registered, that person can do the workshop privately for an additional $2,500.00, reschedule to a different workshop within 365 days, or cancel the workshop with a full refund of payments, minus the deposit.
Cancellations & Refunds
Deposits are non-refundable. For refunds, we require that a cancellation request in writing be received before 11:59pm Pacific Time on the Registration & Final Payment date. If we receive your written cancellation request before the Registration & Final Payment deadline and can refill your space, we will refund all payments, minus any discounts given to refill your space. If we cannot refill your space, we will refund 50% of all payments. No refunds are given, nor cancellations allowed after the Registration & Final Payment Deadline date. ITINERARY
Day 1 - Arrive in Costa Rica / Lago Cachí / TurrialbaA representative from ColorTexturePhotoTours will meet you at Santamaría International Airport (SJO) in Alajuela and transfer you to our first fantastic hotel in Turrialba. Along the way, we will stop at Lago Cachí and photograph sunset. Once we are settled at the hotel, we will have a delicious welcome dinner.
Day 2 - La Marta Wildlife Refuge / Catarata Aquiares / Laguna Angostura / Turrialba
After an early breakfast, we will travel by private transfer and photograph La Marta Wildlife Refuge filled with streams, primary rainforest, bridges, and wildlife. After shooting, we will travel by private transfer to Catarata Aquiares, a breathtaking waterfall hidden away in Turrialba. Afterwards, we will shoot sunset around Laguna Angostura, then return to our hotel and enjoy another delicious dinner.
Days 3 - Maquengue Falls / Guacimo
After breakfast and editing images, we will travel by private transfer to Siguirres and discover sensational Maquengue Falls, a dense rainforest location filled with gorgeous streams and cascades. After shooting, we will travel to and check into our luxurious 5-star hotel in Guacimo and enjoy an excellent dinner.
Day 4 - Suerre / Sarapiquí / Guacimo
After breakfast and editing images, we will explore and photograph the hotel grounds, then depart by private transfer to Suerre and photograph a lush jungle stream. After shooting, we will travel to Sarapiquí, break for lunch, then continue to a special private paradise featuring two spectacular waterfalls. Afterwards, we will return to our hotel and have another tasty dinner.
Day 5 - Braulio Carillo National Park / Figues / Guacimo
After breakfast, we will depart by private transfer to Braulio Carillo National Park and photograph the misty cloud forest and rivers. Afterwards, we will travel to Figues and have a delicious traditional Costa Rican lunch before exploring the wonderful property filled with hanging bridges, jungle rivers, and two incredible waterfalls. We'll spend the afternoon shooting, then return to our hotel in the mountains of Guacimo and enjoy a gourmet dinner.
Day 6 - Las Golondrinas / Depart Costa Rica
After breakfast, we will travel to and photograph sensational Las Golondrinas. Afterwards, we will travel to Juan Santamaría International Airport (SJO), where you'll catch your flight home.

Fitness Level - Moderate
Participants should be able to walk unassisted for three miles (roundtrip) on uneven and potentially muddy trails with moderate inclines, and navigate a variety of terrains including pavement, gravel, dirt, and sand, with large rocks, tree roots, and stairs. Heat and humidity will be high in all locations, and daily excursions can be more challenging during inclement weather.
